Outdoor Learning at HVES​

HVES has been transitioning to more and more time spent focusing on Place-Based Learning. This means that we will be covering more of the curriculum through hands on programming that is connected to our local environment. In order for students to do this safely they are required to have outdoor clothing and some basic supplies. Please ensure that your child has the following items every day:

- change of clothes
- jackets appropriate for the season
- hat appropriate for the season
- proper foot wear
- backpack

**Please label all items clearly**

*Please note that students need outdoor clothing every day. We are participating in place-based learning every day at Hidden Valley, which will bring our school community outside daily. This clothing includes rain gear, snow gear, as well as warm layers depending on the season.
​*If your child is in kindergarten, please send an extra change of clothes that can remain at school until needed.
