Hidden Valley School Reporting Schedule: 2021-2022
Due to implementation of the curriculum redesign Yukon Schools are undergoing a change in student reporting. The traditional three report cards a year model is being modified to incorporate more frequent updates on student learning and growth. Students will still have ongoing assessment in all areas of the curriculum and teachers will be writing report cards. However, the format in which we share learning has changed. Students will be participating in their assessment and reporting. This will include students monitoring and sharing their own growth in relation to the Core Competencies; Communication, Thinking, and Personal and Social. Students will be doing this, with the support of their teachers. Students will do this by collecting and showing evidence of their learning.
Our students’ evidence of learning will be shared with you throughout the year in a variety of forms including the Kwata Kets’adan Ku night, student led conferences, their learning portfolio, and as part the final report card.
