November 13/14th 2025 - The Yukon Volleyball Championships were held this week at the CGC. Teams from across the territory competed hard and had a lot of fun.  We are very proud of the sportsmanship our HVES students demonstrated throughout the tournament, cheering each other on, being kind and respectful to the other teams and showing amazing Husky spirit.  A big thank you to our coaches; Mr. T (Tannen), Ms. Tammy, Ms. D (Denise), and Mr. Hill, for the time and effort they dedicate to our athletes!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!  Students and staff have had an exciting week preparing for Halloween festivities.  A big thank you to Mr. Penny and all of the students that worked on our "Haunted House".

Students have had a spooky day at school, participating in classroom activities, a costume parade, a dance and the Haunted House.  For those planning on heading out this evening for some Trick or Treating, we hope everyone has a fun and safe time!

This Jack-o'-lantern was carved by Ever R. from Ms. Birkeland's Grade 5/6 class.  Taylor Swift would be proud :)

PictureInbox Booth
(October 14th) When entering Hidden Valley School you may notice that our foyer looks a little different these days!  Over Thanksgiving weekend, we had 2 'Inbox Booths' installed in our foyer. These booths are quiet learning spaces that will be utilized in many ways by our students. Feedback from students has already been very positive.

September GROUSE HUNTING - Mr. Mitchell's 4/5 class had a great day of
learning out on the land with staff and conservation officers.
While they came up empty handed for Grouse, they did manage to find what appears to be a very old artifact.  The proper department's have been contacted to try and uncover the mystery of where this artifact may have originated!
